High quality Nelson-Barr solution to the strong CP problem with θ = π

A bstract We discuss composite UV completions of the Nelson-Barr(NB) solution to strong CP problem. In our construction, symmetry is broken spontaneously by dynamics a hidden QCD at θ = π . focus on minimal implementation NB where visible sector contains one extra pair vector-like up/down quarks. show that theory suffers from quality problem and how may resolve it. present simple calculable scheme, free problem, dynamical violation in mediated through scalar portal sector, which successfully realizes construction.
